Pacific Crest Trail, Week 8, Castella, CA to Burney, CA 7.2.17

The Pacific Creat Trail goes through a variety of biomes and this week it was really amazing to totally switch from hiking in the desert to hiking in evergreen forest again.
The change was very welcome as the desert was challenging. It was shady and familiar, plus the views of Mt. Shasta were ever changing as we hiked around it and south of it. Water sources abounded, including getting to see Burney Falls, a spectacular waterfall.

Next up: hiking through Lassen Volcanic National Park.
