Appalachian Trail, Week 4, 4.28-5.4.15

Another great week on the trail!  Our group left Hot Springs rested, full of food, and with full packs of food.

One big milestone this week was crossing the 300 mile mark!  The hiking has been varied, some times through forests and some times over balds, but always northward.  The balds are interesting as they have no trees, but large expanses of grasses.

Currently, we are relaxing in Erwin, TN, and will be back on the trail soon, headed further into TN.  Looking forward to going over our last 6000 foot mountain until Mt. Washington, New Hampshire and passing the 400 mile mark.

Last look down to Hot Springs and the French Broad River.

LoNSlo and I saw a rabbit one morning.

300 miles!
